As part of their CSR, Samsung bids to address Africa’s electrification limits by “Positively impacting lives”. They have made a move towards this goal by developing a Solar-powered Internet School in Boksburg, South Africa. The Solar-Powered Internet School is inside a customized 40 foot shipping container that will make it easy to transport and also protect from abrupt weather changes. The Solar panels are made of rubber and can power the classroom’s devices for upto 9 hours daily and about a day and a half without sunlight.
