Opera Mini for Android receives a design overhaul

Opera has updated its Opera mini browser on Android to Version 8 giving it a much more appealing look – similar to what you will find on the full Opera mobile browser. The new mini now offers more features than it previously did such as redesigned Speed Dial shortcuts, a private browsing mode and a customizable design that scales nicely to tablet sizes.

There’s now also a data usage gauge added to Opera Mini so that you know exactly how many megabytes you’ve saved by using the browser. This gauge has been present on the Opera Mobile for a while now and is a welcome move by Opera to have it present on the mini.

Bookmark syncing is also present in the new version, something perhaps Opera took time to fully integrate in all its browsers across the various platforms.

You can head over to the Google play store to Install the new updated app if you didn’t have it or update it to receive the new features.
